Grayson Perry, Nostalgia for the Bad Times, 1999.

British artist Grayson Perry designs charming pots that transmit challenging and provocative themes. Starting from traditional medias such as ceramics, bronze, printmaking, Perry investigates how each historic type of object collects intellectual and sentimental baggage over time. Exploration and bizarre connections between traditional elements and modern ones give birth to objects, classic Greecian-like, that affect feelings and nostalgia as well as anxiety and ire, universal subjects that draw contemporary life.
